Futurama – The Movie
Yay! This is too great! Screw FOX for cancelling and mistreating this gold egg! I can’t wait to buy this movie, although it could turn out pretty bad, because it’s simply too long — Personally I’d rather have another season (hint hint!!). But I guess the prospect of having another Bender moment is just too funking cool!
An anonymous slashdot.org reader writes “In a recent video blog Billy West mentions that a Futurama movie is in production!“ From the video: “Good news everyone…there’s gonna be a Futurama movie, coming out on DVD, I think we’re gonna start doing it soon. There were talks and I guess they’re really happy about moving forward with it cuz the DVDs of Futurama sold really well, and then with a possibility of a second one.” Already mentioned as a possibility here on Slashdot. He also talks extensively of his new puppet-based project ‘Billy Bastard’, which will be based on his drunken shenanigans as a band member when he was younger.

FOX must have been out of the f$#@*&^ minds to cancel this emmy award winning show. im effing happy that there comming out with this well deserved movie. futurama should come back like family guy did. i was surprised to here they were comin out with this movie. rock on futurama.=>)

I never really liked Futurama that much when it started being aired. The show seemed to be before it’s time. Although, I’ve been watching a lot of it lately and I have to say it is now my favourite North American cartoon. I really hope they do procede with making this movie, although every bit of info I’ve found on it has said something like “this has not been confirmed” which isn’t very comforting. All in all, I love this idea, and brennye is right, FOX was out of thei f$#@*&^ minds to cancel the show.

My friend told me that he’s seen the movie since around june. Of course I didn’t believe him, but now Im excited. He told me the movie is about a family member of Fry’s is still alive.
Either Fry’s brother, Mother, or Father. Who could it be
He’s going to download it for me I’ll try and see if it’s true!

It was absolutely impossible for me to contain my joy at having heard that Futurama, the second-greatest cartoon ever (after The Simpsons, of course) is making a much-deserved comeback after being passed over by evil FOX. I can’t stand Family Guy, and I was very upset that that garbage made a comeback while Futurama still sits on the shelf. Cheers to the people working on this film, and I look forward to seeing it as soon as possible.

Okay so i dont really share the name with my animated hero. but could there be any better news regarding futurama.. recently i heard another rumor that i have yet been unable to confirm, that being that the producers are pitching Futurama to other studios ( to hell with Fox, those Dumb@’s) for a comback, you know a real one with episodes and seasons… how much would that rock.. if anyone can confirm that i would love to know.
And as a comment for Ress… dont download it.. they dont get any money when you download it.. fork out the few bucks (maybe you can only get 1 flat of beer instead of 2 that week) and BUY THE DVD.. if you love the show, support the cause

holy Cr@p when i found out a futurama movie was out i was realy realy happy because i love the show and i also found that pic FlyingSpartan. Also i wondered if a season 5 will ever come out becasue i have hurd alot about i. I REALY REALY REALY hope this movie comes out!!!

Yeah, the movie wont come out until 2007 by what IMDB website shows. Anyway, im so glad theyre making a movie of this brilliant animation series and although I dont go to the cinema a lot, Futurama the movie WILL make me go
FOX did a big mistake in cancelling the next series…although I havent seen series 5 yet. I was really surprised that Family guy was brought back instead of futurama. Ok Family guy is funny too, but usually it goes a bit too far with the comedy, where futurama is a show I sit down and enjoy watching!
BRING BACK FUTURAMA!!! and let them release the MOVIE!!! [ I wanna see if Fry & Leela fall in love, get married and have children with ginger hair and one eye

I love futurama it rocks! Maybe if leela flips another coin she’ll go out with him. As for season 5, there is no season 5. Also, there is no movie to date so for you who think thre is….there isnt. Second, yes fox was really gay for canceling futurama. Also, i heard that there will be FOUR, yes count em 4 Futurama movies. I dont know if this is true or w/e but looking forward to any new futurama stuff. FOX, PLAY ANOTHER SEASON~~~~!!~!!!!~!~!~~!~

i dint realy read the other comments so i dont know if anyone els asked this: is there gonna be a Futurama movie of what? cause theres a simpsons movie but Futurama is WAY BETTER than the simpsons so why arent they making a movie now?
