Return of Futurama!!

Sunday, March 19th, 2006

This could possibly be the greatest news since toilet paper!!

riflemann writes “Another 26 episodes of Futurama will shortly go into production! This news comes from none other than Billy West (voice of Fry) himself, in a short post to his own message board. No further details are available, except that it’s likely to be on TV, not straight to DVD.” The best news is that means fresh quotes for slashteam to hide in the source code.

UPDATE: I have heard sad news that this was a misunderstanding on Billy West’s side, and I don’t think we should pour too much trust into this rumor for the time being, although we could hope some potential buyers see the hype and gains interest ;)

Google Mars

Monday, March 13th, 2006

Google has been at it again, and this time they are serving us mars on a silver plate! In cooler but similar fashion to their Google Moon. Special features include elevation map, infrared and (human) visible map.

In collaboration with NASA researchers at Arizona State University, we’ve created some of the most detailed scientific maps of Mars ever made.

Redesign ASAP

Sunday, March 12th, 2006

I just discovered that my blog has render errors on IE, and since I couldn’t quickly find the error I promised myself to finally get on with it and create a completely new design. This will also be a good opportunity for me to upgrade to WordPress 2.x. However I have more urging projects on my todo list, so it won’t happen as swift as I would have wanted.

So for all you oldschoool guys still using Internet Explorer, this would also be a good opportunity to upgrade you browsing life by getting hold of the latest Firefox browser and perhaps even the magnificient Thunderbird.

UPDATE: I fixed the render bug, by accident I had created a very long post-tag which killed the IE layout.

UPDATE 2 (March, 19 2006): The blog is now running under WordPress 2.x and MySQL 5.x, and everything seems to work fine.
