Joel Keller met up with Matt Groening and talked a bit about the Futurama comeback!!

Probably my favorite moment during the TCA press tour week — and this is a week where I joked around with Greg the Bunny and visited the set of Scrubs — was when I met Matt Groening at FOX’s party on the last night of the tour. Because just about all the questions I had about The Simpsons were asked during the show’s press session earlier in the day, I took the opportunity to concentrate on his other show (and a perennial favorite amongst our readers), Futurama, and its impending return to TV.

Billy West (voice of Fry in Futurama) has answered questions from his and the shows fans. This is good news everyone!! And let’s not forget the fact that a new season is in production (or be soon).

riflemann writes “Another 26 episodes of Futurama will shortly go into production! This news comes from none other than Billy West (voice of Fry) himself, in a short post to his own message board. No further details are available, except that it’s likely to be on TV, not straight to DVD.” The best news is that means fresh quotes for slashteam to hide in the source code.

UPDATE: I have heard sad news that this was a misunderstanding on Billy West’s side, and I don’t think we should pour too much trust into this rumor for the time being, although we could hope some potential buyers see the hype and gains interest
