I just discovered that my blog has render errors on IE, and since I couldn’t quickly find the error I promised myself to finally get on with it and create a completely new design. This will also be a good opportunity for me to upgrade to WordPress 2.x. However I have more urging projects on my todo list, so it won’t happen as swift as I would have wanted.

So for all you oldschoool guys still using Internet Explorer, this would also be a good opportunity to upgrade you browsing life by getting hold of the latest Firefox browser and perhaps even the magnificient Thunderbird.

UPDATE: I fixed the render bug, by accident I had created a very long post-tag which killed the IE layout.

UPDATE 2 (March, 19 2006): The blog is now running under WordPress 2.x and MySQL 5.x, and everything seems to work fine.

NetBeans — My favorite Java / J2EE development environment, har just been released in version 5.0, much have changed since the 3.x, 4.x versions and I warmly recommend any Java developer to download and discover it’s open source glory, especially those who last tried it years ago.
I went from NetBeans 3.1 to JBuilder Enterprise and directly back to NetBeans 3.6 again, and since I haven’t really looked at the commercial IDE’s as an option for my own projects. I have also used Eclipse and IBM’s Websphere Studio Developer (which is based on Eclipse codebase), and although they are fine products, they don’t really do it for me, since I have quite big focus on Java Web Development, and Eclipse needs commercial third party plugins (MyEclipse) to do that well at the moment.

Yahoo recently wrote on the Yahoo! Search blog, that their index now provides access to over 20 billion items (Compared to Googles 8.1 billion). A couple of days after Professor John Battelle responded with a post where he mentioned the fact that Google Scientists did not seem to fully agree on Yahoo claims.
